Today, the third generation continues the journey — carrying forward the values, relationships and love for Banarasi craftsmanship that built Jawahar Sarees.

The Art of Banaras
Every weave has its own character. Seven crafts, each with its own loom, hand and story.
Katan is woven from twisted mulberry silk threads, giving a smooth, dense cloth with a soft lustre. It is the base of the classic Banarasi saree — strong enough to carry heavy zari, graceful enough to drape for a lifetime.

Kora is an organza-like silk, woven fine and left crisp. It holds its shape beautifully and lets zari motifs float on an almost transparent ground — light to wear, striking to see.
See 3 sarees in KoraIn Rangkat, the weaver joins different coloured threads across the width of the loom, so blocks of colour meet in the body of the saree itself. Every piece is a small study in colour, and no two are quite alike.

Raw silk keeps the natural slubs of the yarn, giving the cloth a gentle, uneven texture and a rich, matte depth. It falls with weight and ages with character.

Tissue weaves metallic zari through the silk, so the whole saree shimmers rather than just its border. Luminous and delicate, it is the saree for evenings and celebrations.

Zardozi is hand embroidery in metallic thread, worked slowly over days. Raised, textured and unmistakably regal, it is the work of the bridal trousseau.
